KETAMINE
I work from a psychodynamically oriented perspective, meaning that I value and consider how peoples’ lives, personalities and relationships are shaped by their experiences.
Individual
Individual therapy can be many things—long-term, short-term, problem focused, exploratory—but it is always a meaningful relationship between therapist and patient. Individual therapy usually occurs at a minimum of one session per week and can be used to address myriad issues and experiences. Often, individual therapy continues over a long period of time, opening up new areas for exploration and self-discovery as one’s relationship to oneself deepens and evolves.
I practice psychodynamic psychotherapy, a form of therapy that is often (but not always) longer-term and is recommended treatment for most mental health issues including depression, anxiety, trauma, and personality disorders. Psychodynamic psychotherapy can also be generative for people who are interested in increasing self-awareness and developing relationships that feel both enlivened and stable.
Couples
When couples come to therapy they are often in distress and seeking both relief and an avenue for reconnection. Psychodynamic relationship therapy considers the psychic, emotional, behavioral, and historical aspects of each partner and how these elements of personality and mind interact within the relationship. These therapy sessions tend to occur once a week or twice a month, depending on the needs of the couple and the acuity of the conflict they are experiencing. Many couples continue to work with a therapist after acute distress has been resolved, benefiting from the support of the therapist’s knowledge and perspective over the course of the relationship.
I have a specialty practice in working with relationships. I support couples to know themselves and one another with depth and compassion, seeking to navigate the inevitable conflicts of partnership with increased grace and connection.
Therapy, Treatment and Support for those suffering from Eating Disorders:
Eating disorders are any of a range of mental health conditions in which there is a persistent disturbance of eating behavior and impairment of physical and mental health. If not treated effectively, eating disorders can become a long-term problem, and in some cases, cause death. The most common eating disorders are anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder.
I believe in a holistic approach to the treatment of eating disorders. This may include individual therapy, family based treatment (FBT), and supported meals. FBT is a leading treatment for adolescent eating disorders including anorexia, bulimia and Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorders (OSFED). While FBT may not be for every family, research shows that it is highly effective and faster to act than many other treatments.
Please reference this website to learn the research and of FBT:

FBT sessions usually involve the entire family and include at least one family meal in my office or your home. This gives me an opportunity to observe the behaviors of different family members during a meal and to coach the parents to help their child eat. For adults suffering from an eating disorder, I offer flexible services that can be scaled up for more support or scaled down as you gain independence, I am committed to guiding you on your path to recovery.
I have found that recovery from an eating disorder sits at the intersection of relational work combined with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT). Together we create a relationship that is supportive, authentic, empathic and healing.
Ketamine
I offer ketamine therapy for those struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD and trauma, eating disorders, and other mental health challenges. I aim for safe and effective treatments. You will first receive a thorough medical evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate. During the session you will be monitored and supported. Then immediately following the Ketamine we do an integration session. This is when we process and “integrate” what might have come up for you while “in the ketamine”. Ketamine alone is shown to have some benefits, however lasting change requires intentional integration therapy with a clinician trained in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapies.
I will be with you at every treatment to provide necessary support and help you process your experiences to uncover new meaning, purpose, and direction in life. The result is a deeply personalized journey to renewed hope and healing.
